How much do companies typically pay to have their ads & flyers inserted into another businesses

You know how you get a bunch of credit card offers and stuff when you get, say a Tiger Direct or Amazon order? How much do those advertisers typically pay to have those included in your order?

How much do companies typically pay to have their ads %26amp; flyers inserted into another businesses shipment?

There is no set or standard fee for this type of thing.

The tricky thing about %26quot;riding along%26quot; in another advertiser%26#039;s direct mail, is that there is no guarantee that you will be included in every customer%26#039;s envelope. You see, the advertiser%26#039;s postage rate is based on the idea that the total weight of the envelope will not exceed x-ounces. So, the more inserts that are added to the envelope, the heavier it becomes. If an advertiser is working with several other companies (to help defray their postage costs), the total weight of the mailing can reach its maximum weight very quickly.

Also, if the recipient has a lengthy credit card statement - more than one page, that will add to the weight also.

I worked for a company that once included anywhere between 1 and 3 inserts in its credit card statements. There first insert was always %26quot;guaranteed,%26quot; the second and third inserts were not. So while we mailed out approximately 25,000 copies of the #1 insert, sometimes only about 5,000 copies of the #3 insert made it in.

When choosing a vendor to partner with, you will be wise to choose one that caters to your same target audience. For example, if your target audience is 18-25 year old men, you probably wouldn%26#039;t want to partner with Lane Bryant.

Good luck.
